Elliott Group Marks Safety Milestone

Jeannette, PA – Elliott Group’s repair and field service operations in Brazil marked a safety milestone in October - 365 accident-free workdays. “No matter where we are located, everyone within Elliott Group is committed to doing their job safely.  We take great care to follow our own safety processes and procedures and those of our customers on every job,” said Elliott Group Chief Operating Officer Art Titus. “We congratulate our Brazil repair facility and its field service operations for taking employee and customer safety to heart.”

This sentiment was echoed by Marie Hellen, safety technician for Elliott’s operations in Brazil. “Our focus on safety has paid off,” she said, “with everyone returning safely to their families each day.”

Elliott’s Brazil Service Center is located in Piracicaba, Sao Paulo state. The local field service operation, also based in Piracicaba, installs, maintains, and repairs complex turbomachinery in oil and gas facilities throughout Brazil and South America. Elliott repair shops and field service crews install, overhaul, and repair very large equipment such as steam turbines and compressors. Typical operations include welding and machining of casings, rotors, and components, and complex rigging and lifts of precision equipment that weighs many tons. The teams work under extreme conditions and in confined spaces on production platforms, refineries and petrochemical plants. They also provide operator and maintenance training and respond to emergency call-out situations.
