Summer Internships

Gain valuable experience in the engineering & manufacturing industries.

Real life, hands-on experience

Overview

Ebara Elliott Energy offers a variety of paid summer internship opportunities for college students to gain hands-on experience in the rotating equipment industry. At Ebara Elliott Energy, an internship is much more than a summer job; it is an opportunity for personal and professional growth for the program participants. Our internships offers a first step on the career ladder.

Interns are assigned to a variety of departments including marketing, human resources, finance, quality, safety, engineering projects, applications, research & development, manufacturing operations, product design & development, business development, and aftermarket services.

Most internships are based in our global headquarters in Jeannette, Pennsylvania, with limited opportunities at various U.S. service center facilities.

Responsibilities

All internships consist of three components:

1. Individual projects to own and complete for real world hands-on experience;

2. Team projects and activities designed to demonstrate cooperation;

3. Exposure to the day-to-day responsibilities of Ebara Elliott Energy company leadership, including participation in company and customer meetings and job shadowing.

Each intern project represents a meaningful assignment contributing to Ebara Elliott Energy's success, while also benefitting the intern’s career aspirations.  Hiring managers submit requests for potential projects to senior leadership for consideration and approval.

Interns are required to prepare and present an end-of-summer presentation summarizing their projects and learning experiences. Throughout the course of the internship, program participants cultivate executive presentation and networking skills through weekly development meetings and ad hoc events.

Qualifications

While each internship will have specific qualifications listed, most require students who are completing their sophomore or junior year of study in the appropriate engineering or business discipline related to the intern project.

Candidates should have excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the desire to learn and apply their training. Interns are expected to take ownership of projects and work independently with minimal direct supervision. Candidates must be willing to offer fresh perspectives and share practical solutions to resolve issues. Strong computer skills are required for many internship assignments. Engineering internships usually also require database management and programming skills.
