EDS Display
The Elliott Digital Control System Plus (EDS Plus) is designed for full control of turbomachinery systems of all types and sizes from the control room or from a remote station. At the heart of the EDS Plus is a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) which ensures proper sequencing and protection of the rotating machinery, oil systems, and related process equipment.
Integrated control is realized through the use of rugged, reliable hardware providing compressor surge control, equipment vibration and temperature monitoring, steam turbine governor control, and overspeed trip protection in a single consolidated turbomachinery management system. A serial port is available that permits a single-point interface of the monitored data to the owner's Distributed Control System (DCS).

Featuring a user-friendly color graphics Operator Interface, the unit enables an operator to view screens of choice and perform his/her duties, including such options as: monitor a display of operating data, view/change controller settings, view and adjust alarm/trip settings, view the alarm/trip log, monitor and adjust oil system operation, generate and print trend information, download archived information, and print reports and records of system performance.
The Elliott Digital Governor (EDG) is a compact, packaged, electronic speed control unit for precise, reliable speed control of mechanical drives or induction generators, yet its initial cost is relatively low compared to other electronic and most hydraulic control devices. Its simple push-button control provides improved reliability and speed control over hydraulic governors, without the use of wearing parts, such as linkages and bearings. Additionally, it does not require a separate programmer as required by many other speed control methods.

Numerous standard features designed into the EDG, which have made it the popular choice of machinery owners, include large, continuous LCD display, and a wide, continuously adjustable governing range from 200-10,000 Hz. Idle speed, ramp rate and turbine speed are programmable, while electrical trip speed is preprogrammed. Optional features include remote trip and start/stop capabilities.
The unit is sized for 19 inch rack mounting and can be configured for NEMA A or NEMA D operation. The standard enclosure is NEMA 4X and is suitable for wall mounting.
