Ebara Elliott Energy steam turbines come in a variety of sizes ranging from small, 20-hp (15-kW) single-stage units, to large 135,000-hp (100,000-kW) multi-valve, multi-stage extraction condensing units. Our single-valve, single-stage YR turbines feature cost-effective design and superior performance under varying operating conditions. Our multi-YR (MYR) turbines combine the reliability and parts interchangeability of our YR turbine with the power and efficiency of multi-stage turbines. MYR turbines produce more power without additional steam and can be installed in many areas where single-stage steam turbines are currently operating. DYRHH single-stage turbines offer a solution for high back-pressure applications.

World-Class Assembly & Test Facility

world-class assembly & test facilityOur YR steam turbine manufacturing plant in Bengaluru, India, offers convenient, comprehensive design, manufacturing, assembly & test, and unit packaging services for YR steam turbines and steam turbine generators (STGs). Staffed with fully qualified and experienced personnel, the 5,000-square-meter factory is equipped to engineer, build, and deploy YR steam turbines and STGs for customers in the oil & gas, petrochemical, refining, fertilizer, and power generation industries. The facility also houses a state-of-the-art customer training center.

Exercise the trip valve without tripping the turbine

pneumatic trip system with partial stroke actuationExercising a trip valve regularly can mean the difference between a turbine tripping when necessary and catastrophic failure. Over time, steam impurities and contaminants can cause boiler scale or rust buildup that could result in the trip valve not working properly when necessary.

Ebara Elliott Energy's pneumatic trip system with partial stroke actuation was awarded a U.S. Patent and is patent pending in several other countries. It is SIL 3 capable, providing a vital safety function for steam turbines. It also gives turbine operators a safe, efficient, and convenient way to exercise the trip valve without interfering with the turbine's operation or its ability to trip if an overspeed event occurs.

In a matter of seconds, the system completes a partial stroke of the trip valve, and the turbine operators can quickly determine if the trip valve is functioning properly or requires attention.

High-Speed Multi-Valve Steam Turbines

Ebara Elliott Energy's high-speed, high-efficiency multi-valve steam turbine combines the reliability of an impulse style turbine with the efficiency of a reaction style turbine to provide outstanding performance in a range of refinery services. Designed to API 612 standards, the turbine has a small footprint but packs a powerful punch, offering a technical leap forward in speed and efficiency. At typical pressure and temperature operating conditions (typical operating conditions: 600 psig/750°F, high-pressure/high-temperature operating conditions: 1300 psig/ 905°F), the turbine's efficiency is greater than 80 percent.  

The 13-stage, multi-valve turbine serves as a direct drive for compressors in oil and gas-related services including hydrocracking, hydrotreating, catalytic reforming, alkylation, refrigeration, gas boosting, and coking. Its high-speed condensing design eliminates the need for a separate gear box, greatly reducing the amount of mineral oil, cooling water, and steam required for high-efficiency operation. The turbine's high-speed capabilities allow for smaller compressor frame sizes with fewer stages for a smaller overall footprint.
