Ebara Elliott Energy is committed to providing a safe and healthy workplace for our employees, contractors, and visitors. We embrace a safety culture focused on elimination and control of hazards and risk mitigation, and have implemented the use of various tools to identify hazards, assess and mitigate risk, and reduce errors to prevent work-related injuries or ill health. A hierarchy of controls is followed, which means, where possible, the first priority will be to eliminate hazards, before implementing less effective controls, such as personal protective equipment (PPE). We value employee engagement and will consult with and seek the participation of workers and their representatives. We establish programs and procedures, and provide employees with the proper tools and knowledge to identify and address hazards to prevent injury/illness.
Ebara Elliott Energy recognizes that competency is more than just training. It is ensuring that our employees have the knowledge, skills, and proper tools to perform our jobs safely and adequately. We build and maintain the competency of our teams through on-the-job, classroom, and web-based training and various other forms of communication and reinforcement to heighten the awareness of EHS risks and associated controls. We also focus on the leadership and soft skills that enable a robust safety culture.
Ebara Elliott Energy strives to minimize our impact on the environment in every aspect of our global operations, and embrace the prevention of pollution and the conservation of resources. We set objectives and identify actions to reduce operational impacts, including greenhouse gas emissions, energy usage, waste generation, water usage, and other significant environmental aspects and impacts. We also focus on environmental sustainability in our products and services, to reduce the environmental impacts in the product life-cycle.
Ebara Elliott Energy has achieved and maintains certification for ISO 14001:2015 for its major manufacturing facilities, which aligns with our environmental initiatives.
