Elliott Group Reaches Field Service Milestone

Jeannette, PA – February 7, 2014 – Elliott Group announced today that as of December 31, 2013, Elliott Group’s field service operations celebrated more than 500 consecutive accident-free workdays. The field service organization installs, maintains, and repairs complex turbomachinery in oil and gas facilities worldwide.

“Everyone at Elliott Group is committed to doing their job safely.  We take great care to follow our own processes and procedures and those of our customers on every job, no matter the location,” said Elliott Group Chief Operating Officer Art Titus. “We congratulate our Global Service organization and specifically its field service operations for taking the safety of our people and of our customers to heart.”

In 2013, Elliott field service crews logged a half-million man hours without incident in 22 countries across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and North and South America. Field service teams install, overhaul, and repair very large equipment such as steam turbines and compressors. They provide operator and maintenance training and respond to emergency call-out situations. These teams work under extreme conditions, from desert heat to arctic cold, and in confined spaces on production platforms, refineries and petrochemical plants. Typical operations include welding and machining of casings, rotors, and components, and complex rigging and lifts of precision equipment that weighs many tons.

Steve Hillebrand, Elliott Group’s Senior Health, Safety and Environmental Manager, also offered his congratulations.  “Safety is a top priority at Elliott,” he said, and this milestone speaks to the safety policies and procedures the company has in place and also to our commitment to following customer safety protocols. These past 500 accident-free days are a good example of how keeping eyes and mind on task can help to fight complacency, reduce risk and prevent injuries.”
