dateMar 17, 2016

March 17, 2016 –– Jeannette, Pennsylvania –– Petrobras has renewed a contract with Elliott Group in Brazil for rotor inspection and storage.  The contract covers a minimum of 80 spare turbine and compressor rotors for Petrobras refineries in Brazil.

A representative from Petrobras headquarters in Rio de Janeiro said, “We are happy to continue our cooperation with Elliott. The rotor storage concept that Elliott introduced to us in 2005 has proven beneficial to our refinery maintenance teams, and the Elliott team in Piracicaba has executed it to our satisfaction. We are confident that the critical spares are in good hands and maintained in prime condition, which increases the availability of the equipment in the field.”

Petrobras has renewed the contract for three years with an option to extend. “We are pleased to have secured this contract renewal for Elliott”, said Ronald Groot, General Manager for Elliott’s operations in Brazil.  “The renewal validates Elliott’s climate-controlled, vertical rotor storage program which keeps our customers’ spare rotors close at hand, in perfect condition for routine overhauls or unexpected emergencies.”
