Elliott Group Signs LTSA with Borealis

dateDec 12, 2017

Jeannette, PA – December 12, 2017  Elliott Group has signed a long-term service agreement (LTSA) to provide service and support for Borealis Group’s fleet of rotating equipment in Europe. The five-year contract includes general service, equipment upgrades, rotor repairs, technical support, emergency response, and turnarounds for all of Borealis’ European production facilities.

Borealis is one of Europe’s largest producers of base chemicals and polyolefins, with operations in Europe, the Middle East, and the United States. The LTSA with Elliott is part of the company’s strategy to improve the reliability, efficiency, and availability of their rotating equipment fleet by standardizing maintenance activities across all sites. Through close collaboration with Borealis site operators, Elliott will create remedial maintenance plans for each machine.

“The Borealis fleet includes a diverse range of rotating equipment from most major turbomachinery manufacturers,” said Ronald Frye, Vice President, Elliott Global Service. “Elliott brings a full range of services and broad experience with rotating equipment from other OEMs to support the Borealis sites. Under this agreement, we will provide the stability and technical integrity Borealis requires to bring their machinery to the next level.”

Elliott will service the contract from their repair facilities in the United Kingdom and Italy where they employ manpower from a wide variety of nations. Preparation is already underway for a planned turnaround in the spring of 2018 at a Borealis site in Linz, Austria.
